Title: Business Analyst 4 (777255)

Client: Virginia Information Technology Agency

Location: 1401 E Broad St, Richmond, VA 23219

Duration: 12-to-18-month contract

Note: This is a Hybrid role with 3 days per week required at 1401 East Broad Street

Job Description:

5+years of BA Experience in IT projects. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.IT software/application project experience required. Looking for a candidate with the specific skills/experience listed below:

1. Analytical Thinking
   

1. Review, Analyze complex process and systems and break them down into manageable parts.
   
2. Has strong problem-solving skills - finds root causes, and not just symptoms.
   

1. Technical Proficiency
   

1. Familiarity with enterprise software - like Oracle, SQL Server.
   
2. Understanding of databases (SQL), APIs, Data Flow Diagrams.
   
3. Not necessarily a developer  but should have a strong understanding of how IT systems work.
   

1. Requirements Gathering Proficiency
   

1. Strong experience in conducting stakeholder interviews and workshops.
   
2. Skilled at writing clear, testable, functional, and non-functional requirements.
   
3. Strong familiarity and previous experience with using Azure DevOPS (TFS) for creating and managing agile items - Product backlog, Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks  AND Test Plans and Test Cases.
   
4. Prepare diagrams explaining the modifications so that both technical staff and executive management can visualize and understand what must be done. Experience creating wireframes or visualization examples (Visio) from requirements.
   

1. Agile/Waterfall Knowledge
   

1. Should be previous experience in working with Agile/Scrum (including SAFe)  AND Waterfall projects.
   

1. Other Required and demonstrated work skills
   

1. Can translate from tech talk (Developers) to business users and business talk (Stakeholders) to developers.
   
2. Writes clear documents and delivers strong presentations. 
   
3. Can handle pushback, negotiate priorities, and resolve conflict diplomatically.
   

1. Experience with Business Process Modelling - using/documenting Swim Lane and Flow Chart Diagrams.
   
2. Experience in rolling out new systems/processes and managing user adoption.
   
3. In addition to performing system integration testing (IT Testing), assists with User Acceptance Testing.
   

Required Skills:

· Agile Business Analyst; Stong understanding of Scrum concepts and methodologies

· Well versed with Scrum and Agile, Scaled Agile and Kanban methodologies

· Technical experience in organizing and maintaining sprint and product backlogs

· Technical experience translating client and product strategy requirement into application requirements and user stories.

· Documenting high level Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Cases and execution of test cases.

· Ability to analyze and document business and system processes.
