Job Title: Contract Inspector

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and certified Contract Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience and certifications in various inspection disciplines, ensuring compliance with construction standards and regulations. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform field tests on concrete to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Document and report test results accurately.

• Conduct soil density tests using nuclear gauges.
• Evaluate soil compaction and ensure it meets project requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment as necessary.

• Inspect reinforced concrete structures to verify adherence to construction drawings and codes.
• Review and approve reinforcing steel placement, formwork, and concrete placement.

• Inspect pre-stressed concrete components during fabrication and installation.
• Verify compliance with specifications and industry standards.

• Inspect masonry construction, including materials, methods, and workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and project specifications.

• Inspect structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and weld quality.
• Ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards.

• Inspect residential buildings to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Review construction plans and specifications.
• Perform inspections at various stages of construction.

Requirements

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar inspection role.
• Familiarity with local construction codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.

• ACI Field Grade 1 Technician
• Soils Inspector
• ICC Reinforced Concrete Inspector
• ICC Pre-Stressed Concrete Inspector
• ICC Masonry Inspector
• ICC Structural Steel/Welding Inspector
• ICC Residential Building Inspector
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and report-writing skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
• Ability to lift and carry inspection equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
