SEVAK, the “Society for Empowerment through Voluntary Action in Karnataka,” was founded in 2009 and is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1960
SEVAK is a dedicated NGO empowering marginalized communities across Karnataka, focusing on women, adolescent girls, and tribal groups. Through initiatives in health, education, livelihoods, and rights, SEVAK aims to foster equality, justice, and sustainable self-reliance, ensuring dignity and opportunity for all.
SEVAK is dedicated to uplifting socially and economically marginalized groups, particularly women, children, the elderly, and disabled individuals. Through advisory services, essential support, and collaboration with intermediary organizations, SEVAK provides the necessary resources and opportunities to promote self-reliance, empowerment, and sustainable development within these communities.
SEVAK envisions a just and equitable society where all children and families lead empowered, fulfilled lives. We strive to create an inclusive world where every individual, regardless of their social or economic background, enjoys dignity, opportunities, and the freedom to shape their future with self-reliance and confidence.
At SEVAK, we are committed to creating sustainable and empowering changes in communities across Karnataka. Our work focuses on addressing the needs of rural, urban, and tribal populations in the Belagavi, Dharwad, Vijayapura, and Bagalkote districts. Through a holistic approach, we aim to foster self-reliance, improve quality of life, and ensure a brighter, more sustainable future for marginalized and vulnerable communities, especially early married girls, adolescent girls, women, domestic workers, and tribal groups.
