Job Description

Leading local manufacturer is looking for a Team Lead to oversee the Powder Coat department. They are seeking candidates that are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Shift: 1st Shift

Pay Rate: Based on experience

**Responsibilities: **

• Lead and support 1st shift Powder Coat area in achieving goals and standards.
• Coordinate start-of-shift preparation and organization.
• Supervise the hanging of products and preparation of surfaces for coating.
• Operate and adjust spray guns to ensure precise coatings.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance.
• Address and resolve production issues, communicating effectively with management.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures, ensuring team compliance.
• Train and mentor new and existing employees on company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and ensure the team achieves expected levels of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools for problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
• Provide timely responses to internal and external customer needs and issues.
• Oversee the completion of 6S/TPM initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a leadership role is required.
• Powder coating experience is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Punctual, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
